Woodrow "Woody" Dobson - Hendricks

Woodrow “Woody” Dobson - Hendricks, 85, of Litchfield, passed away on Sat., Dec. 14, 2019 at 11:50 p.m. in Montgomery Nursing & Rehabilitation in Taylor Springs.  He was born on April 22, 1934, in Campbellsville, KY, a son of Kemp & Virginia (Shofner) Hendricks.  Woody was a Laborer and farm hand.  He mowed and did yard work for several people in Litchfield as well.  He was a member of Mt. Zion Lutheran Church in Litchfield.  Woody enjoyed volunteering his time for meals on wheels.  He was better known around town for riding his big red bike.  Woody is survived by:

3 sisters,        Opal (John) Miller of Springfield

                        Catherine (Jim) Smith of Divernon

                        Mabel M. (Barry) Marten of Williamsburg, VA

5 nephews & 1 niece, Todd Tarr; Darren Hart; Craig Marten; Jason Marten; Jennifer Dobson & Bradley Dobson

Several great-nieces & great-nephews.

Woody was preceded in death by his parents; step-fathers, William E. Dobson & Jess Weller; and 1 brother, Walter L. Dobson.

Funeral services for Woody will be held on Fri., Dec. 20, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. in Mt. Zion Lutheran Church.  Rev. Cynthia Munker of Mt. Zion Lutheran Church will officiate.  Burial will be in Rovey Cemetery in Farmersville.  Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until service time in the church.  The family suggests memorials to Mt. Zion Lutheran Church, Susan G. Komen, or Vitas Hospice.
