Wayne Edward Law

Wayne Edward Law, 85, of Litchfield, passed away Sunday, August 28, 2022, at 4:45 a.m. in his home.  Mr. Law was born September 17, 1936, to Isaac and Velma (Grimmet) Law in Litchfield, IL.  He married the former Naomi D. Brewer on March 19, 1960; she survives.  Mr. Law was employed for 10 years in the signaling department of the Wabash/Norfolk & Western Railway, at Morton Buildings in Litchfield for 30 years, and retired from R.P. Lumber as a yard foreman in 2009.  He was a member of the Litchfield Assembly of God Church, where he served on the church board. He enjoyed camping, woodworking, fishing, putting in a nice garden and spending time with his grandkids.

In addition to his wife, Naomi, Mr. Law is survived by:

1 son; Edward (Melody) Law of West Frankfort,

2 daughters; Maleah Raynor of Gillespie, & Rulene Kuchar of Raymond,

9 grandchildren; Kimberly (David) Vachata, Kelly Law, Kyle (Trista) Law, Austin (Teresa) Raynor, Blake (Ashlynn) Raynor, Christopher (Sarah) Raynor, Lacey Raynor, Jacob (Valerie) Kuchar, & Jayden Kuchar,

and 11 great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Law was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Bill Raynor, 6 brothers, Earl Law, Joseph Law, Clarence Law, Harold Law, Russell Law and Harley Law, and 3 sisters, Lula Mae Savage, Dorothy Law & Mary Belle Jones.

Funeral services will be held Friday, September 2, 2022 at 12:00 p.m., at the Litchfield Assembly of God Church; Rev. Jeff Martin will officiate. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.  The family suggests memorials be directed to the Litchfield Assembly of God Church.
