Walter Eugene “Gene” Jett, 71, of Donnellson, passed away on Wed., Sept. 8, 2021 at 5:43 a.m. in his home. He was born on Sept. 20, 1949, in Litchfield, IL, a son of Kenneth and Ruby Mae (Mahan) Jett. Gene graduated from Litchfield High School with the Class of 1967. He married the former Sherry Lee Ridinger on Sept. 20, 2006; she survives. Gene was self-employed as a roofer, and also worked at various local factories as a laborer. He was a member of the Litchfield Moose Lodge #1634, and Litchfield Sportsman’s Club. In addition to his wife, Sherry, Gene is survived by:

Gene was preceded in death by his mother, Ruby Mae Jett; 1 brother, Robert Jett; 1 sister, Julie Golden.
No services are being held. Cremation rites will be accorded.
