Walter "Gene' E. Jett

Walter Eugene “Gene” Jett, 71, of Donnellson, passed away on Wed., Sept. 8, 2021 at 5:43 a.m. in his home.  He was born on Sept. 20, 1949, in Litchfield, IL, a son of Kenneth and Ruby Mae (Mahan) Jett.  Gene graduated from Litchfield High School with the Class of 1967.  He married the former Sherry Lee Ridinger on Sept. 20, 2006; she survives.  Gene was self-employed as a roofer, and also worked at various local factories as a laborer.  He was a member of the Litchfield Moose Lodge #1634, and Litchfield Sportsman’s Club.   In addition to his wife, Sherry, Gene is survived by:

Step-son, Scott (Cristy) Smith of Sedalia, MO

2 step-daughters, Tanya Pugh & Christina Torres of Springfield, MO

5 brothers, Jim Jett of Coffeen

                   Richard (Teresa) Jett of Greenfield, IL

                   Kenny Jett, Jr. of Roswell, GA

                   Scott (Tara) Jett of Litchfield

2 sisters, Susan (Denny) Eller of Ava, MO

               Tina Cook of Davenport, IA

9 grandchildren

3 great-grandchildren

Gene was preceded in death by his mother, Ruby Mae Jett; 1 brother, Robert Jett; 1 sister, Julie Golden.

No services are being held.  Cremation rites will be accorded.
