Velma Lee Kazenske, 90, of Litchfield, formerly of Auburn, passed away on Mon., Oct. 19, 2020 at 3:35 p.m. in HSHS St. John’s Hospital in Springfield. She was born on March 16, 1930, in Peoria, IL, a daughter of William and Bessie Lynn (Charles) Evans. She married Frank Kazenske on June 27, 1947 in Springfield, IL. He preceded her in death in 2005. Velma was a homemaker. She was a member of All Nations Worship Center in Litchfield, where she dedicated her time praying for others, and enjoyed attending worship services. She is survived by:
1 son, Frank (Denise) Kazenske, Jr.
1 daughter, Pastor Donna Kazenske of Litchfield
1 brother, William Evans of Springfield
1 sister, Josephine Ushman of Springfield
In addition to her husband, Frank, Velma was preceded in death by her parents; 1 brother, Robert Charles; 2 sisters, Donna Sparling and Joyce Trego.
Funeral services for Velma will be held on Fri., Oct. 23, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at All Nations Worship Center, 1200 East Union Avenue, in Litchfield. Pastor Doris Ely from Faith Ministries Center in Caseyville will officiate. Burial will be in Auburn Cemetery in Auburn. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until time of service.
