Timothy Scott Catalano

Timothy Scott Catalano, 60, of Mt. Olive, IL,  passed away Tuesday, April 23, 2024 at 9:45 a.m. at his residence, surrounded by his family.

Born August 28, 1963 in Springfield, IL, a son of Guyseppe and Patricia (Walsh) Catalano.  He attended Hillsboro High School.    Tim was a diesel mechanic and truck body repairman for Heartland Express Trucklines.   He enjoyed cooking out and barbequing, going fishing and following Nascar racing.  He married the former Patti J. (Hoover) Otten on August 28, 2004, and she survives. Additional survivors include:

Two sons, Timothy J. (Amie) Catalano of Wright City, MO and David A. (Stephanie) Otten of Carlinville, IL

Five brothers, Donnie Pryor of Eagarville, IL; William (Billie Jean) Catalano of Litchfield, IL; Vince (Barb) Catalano of Litchfield, IL; Joseph (Amanda) Catalano of Springfield, IL; and Ricky Catalano of Springfield, IL

Six sisters, Candy (Alvin) Garst of Eagarville, IL; Vickie (Steve) Hefley of Hillsboro, IL; Carla Catalano of Springfield, IL; Melissa (Bud) Catalano of Springfield, IL; Kim Catalano of Springfield, IL ; Christina Wright of Petersburg, IL

Five grandchildren, Stephen, Devin, & Alexander Otten and  Brantley Catalano & Camille Stump.

Tim is preceded in death by his parents, and a brother Kevin “Smiley” Catalano.
