Thomas “Tom” Archie Hogsett, 64, of Litchfield, passed away at his residence Wednesday, December 7, 2022, at 12:14 p.m. Mr. Hogsett was born December 3, 1958, in Litchfield, a son of William D. and Dolores “Dodie” E. (Finkey) Hogsett. He graduated from Litchfield High School with the Class of 1977. He was employed by H.E. Nursery for many years and was his mother’s caretaker during her illness. Mr. Hogsett enjoyed spending time with his friends at the lake, fishing, flower gardening, landscaping, listening to music, the companionship of his 3 cats, Chumley, Bella and Josie, and he was a huge Chicago Bears football fan.

His sister Carrie (Kimbo) Halsey of Litchfield,
Sister-in-law, Mickey Hogsett of Litchfield,
1 niece, Shannah Komor of Litchfield,
4 nephews, Joshua Hogsett of Springfield, Will (Zhenya) Hogsett of Makanda, Derek (Lauren) Hogsett of Savoy, & Mike Hogsett of Litchfield,
Several great nieces & great nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and 2 brothers, Roger Hogsett and Ronald Hogsett.
A memorial service will be held Wednesday, December 14, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Plummer Funeral Home. Interment will be at Edgewood Cemetery in Litchfield. Rev. Jason Plumer, First Baptist Church of Litchfield, will officiate. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. The family suggests memorials to Montgomery County PAWS Care or Litchfield Food Pantry.
