Thomas Neil Pollock, Sr.

Thomas Neil Pollock, Sr. of Litchfield, passed away at his residence at 10:33 p.m. on Monday, January 16, 2023. He was born January 2, 1952 in Port Angeles, WA, a son of Donald Stanley and Grace Marion (Hogg) Pollock. Mr. Pollock proudly served his country in the United States Army, serving as a door gunner, helicopter pilot and mechanic before retiring as a Master Sergeant. He and the former Grace Elizabeth “Beth” Shamer were married December 6, 1969 in Tacoma, WA. She survives. He enjoyed fishing and watching sports.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Pollock is survived by:

2 sons, Thomas N. Pollock, Jr. of Litchfield and Donald (Chrissy) Pollock of Alton, IL.

1 daughter, Kimberly A. (Jeanie Zieglar) Pernicka of Staunton, IL.

10 grandchildren, Ashli (Jack) Brockus, Satora (Christian) Jett, Kyrah Pernicka, Sarah Pernicka, Michael Pernicka, Kayleigh Pollock, Peyton Pollock, Cassie Scroggins, Carla Burdel and Carlie Ballard.

9 great-grandchildren.

1 brother, Joe (Carol) Pollock of Bellingham, WA.

2 sisters, Jeannie Davis of Port Angeles, WA and Donna Nordhaug of Tacoma, WA.

Mr. Pollock was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, Loretta Pollock.

Memorial services for Mr. Pollock will be held on Wednesday, January 25, 2023, at 6:00 p.m., at Plummer Funeral Home in Litchfield, IL, with Rev. Tim Barbee of the Christian Church of Litchfield officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until the time of service.

Memorials honoring Mr. Pollock may be made to Grace “Beth” Pollack. Plummer Funeral Home in Litchfield, IL is in charge of arrangements.
