Thelma M. Reiher

Thelma Maxine Reiher, 94, of Litchfield, passed away on Mon., Nov. 19, 2018 at 11:35 a.m. in Heritage Health Therapy & Senior Care in Litchfield.  She was born on March 30, 1924, in Carlinville, IL, a daughter of Lowell & Lois (Biven) Hunt.  Thelma graduated from Carlinville High School with the Class of 1942.  She worked as a store clerk in Sherman’s Dept. Store in downtown Litchfield & was a former member of Barnett Christian Church and Litchfield Women of the Moose.  Thelma enjoyed cooking & always had a cake for company.  She married Louis Chester Reiher on Dec. 1, 1945 in Carlinville.  He preceded her in death on Feb. 14, 1984.  She is survived by:

1 son,                 David Reiher

1 daughter,         Clara Rayphol of Litchfield

1 niece,               Vicki Foiles of Raymond

1 sister-in-law,     Dorothy Hunt of Litchfield

Thelma is preceded in death by her parents; her husband; 1 daughter, Wanda Lou Reiher; 1 son, Gary Reiher; 1 brother, Marvin L. Hunt.

Funeral services will be held Sun., Nov. 25, 2018 at 2 p.m. in Plummer Funeral Home in Litchfield.  Rev. Paul Jones of Waggoner Christian Church will officiate.  Burial will be in Elm Lawn Cemetery in Litchfield.  

Visitation will be held from noon until time of service.  No memorials have been designated.
