He was a member of St. Raymond parish and the Raymond Council of the Knights of Columbus in Raymond, IL.

After retirement he enjoyed traveling, square dancing, tinkering around the house and being with his family and friends.

He is survived by:

his daughter, Tammy (Patrick)  McLane of Oreana, IL; two sons, Dan (Donna) Miller of Denver, CO, and Andy (Jennifer) Miller of Sidney, IL; two grandsons, Brian McLane of Decatur, IL, and Dillon Miller of Denver, CO; and a multitude of nieces and nephews throughout Illinois, Missouri, Kansas, and Indiana.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 68 years, Wanda (Boehler) of Raymond, IL; brother Albert of Harvel, IL; and two sisters: Cecilia of Belleville, IL, and Caroline of Springfield, IL.
