Star Jill Becker

Star Jill Becker, 72, of Litchfield, passed away Sun., Apr. 14, 2019 at 4:50 p.m. in Hillsboro Rehab & Health Care Center.  She was born on February 12, 1947 in Litchfield, IL, a daughter of Irwin Louis and Mary Pauline (Britton) Becker and was reared along with her siblings in a loving home.  Star attended the local schools.  She was a lifelong member of St. Timothy’s United Methodist Church.  Star was a member of the Litchfield Kitchen Band for many years and enjoyed entertaining in the local and neighboring towns’ nursing homes.  Her favorite place was the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Museum in Springfield, IL and she visited there often.  She enjoyed reading about all the Presidents and First Ladies and was very knowledgeable about their history.  She was an avid plate collector and her collection included many presidential ones as well as destination plates.  She enjoyed family photographs and had many photo albums.  She loved viewing the photos and sharing her many family albums with others.  She was a lifelong resident of Litchfield with the exception of the last 7 years when she lived in The Hillsboro Rehabilitation and Health Care Center.  She was a very loving and caring person and will be missed. She is survived by:

1 sister, Paula Jo (Charles) May of La Verne, CA

She was preceded in death by her parents; 2 brothers, Larry Gene Becker & Warren Earl Becker

Funeral services will be held Sat., May 11, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. in Plummer Funeral Home in Litchfield. 

Rev. James Tinzmann, former pastor of St. Timothy United Methodist Church in Litchfield, will officiate.  

Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in Staunton.  Visitation will be held Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until time of service. 

The family suggests memorials to St. Timothy United Methodist Church in Litchfield.
