Spencer Wayne Hughes, 21, of Litchfield, passed away at HSHS St. Francis Hospital in Litchfield on Wednesday, December 7, 2022, at 8:05 p.m. Spencer was born June 8, 2001, in St. Louis, MO, a son of Bruce W. and Lana M. (Gould) Hughes. He enjoyed music, riding his four-wheeler, driving, taking rides, looking at muscle cars and pickup trucks, fishing and hunting, and all things wolf. He was a fan of both the St. Louis Cardinals and the St. Louis Blues.
In addition to his parents, Spencer is survived by:
1 sister Kaytlen M. Hughes of Austin, TX,
1 brother, Collin Hughes of Litchfield,
Paternal grandparents, Larry & Theresa “Terry” Hughes of Litchfield,
1 aunt, Jenny (Brad) Ryden of Loami,
Cousins, Lexi & Luke Ryden of Loami,
And special friend, Haley Walden.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Jim & Mary Gould.
Funeral services will be held Friday, December 16, 2022 at 5:00 p.m. at Zion Lutheran Church, 1301 N. State Street, Litchfield, IL. Rev. Fred Kraemer, of Zion Lutheran Church in Litchfield, will officiate. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. until the time of service. Spencer's funeral service will be livestreamed through the Zion Lutheran Church Litchfield Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/ZionLutheranChurchLitchfield. It will also be saved on that page for viewing at a later time.
The family suggests memorials to Williams Syndrome Association or Zion Lutheran School in Litchfield.
