Sendrena V. Snopko

Sendrena Viola “Sandy” Snopko, 98, of Carlinville, passed away on Mon., Jan. 27, 2020 at 12:30 a.m. in HSHS St. John’s Hospital in Springfield.  She was born on March 10, 1921, in Eagerville, IL, a daughter of Daniel and Sara (Zamboni) Failoni.  Sandy was a homemaker.  She married Francis Joseph Snopko on Aug. 18, 1947, in Benld, IL.  He preceded her in death on January 31, 1996.  She and her husband lived and farmed for several years in the Hornsby area.  Sandy was a member of the Church of the Ascension in Mt. Olive, which has now merged to form St. John Paul II Parish. 

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Francis.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, January 31, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. in St. John Paul II Parish in Mt. Olive.  Fr. Tom Hagstrom will preside.  Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery in Litchfield.  Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at the church, at which time the Rosary will be recited.  The family suggests memorials to St. John Paul II Parish.
