Rose Ann Flack, 86, of Litchfield, peacefully passed away on Thursday, February 20, 2025, at Litchfield Health and Rehab Center. Rose was born July 27, 1937, in Greenville, IL, a daughter of Earl and Arvilla (Mullen) Renfro.
Rose met and married the love of her life, David N. Flack at the young age of 16. They had six children. Surviving children include Earl (Nancy) Flack of Hillsboro, Carol Lipe of Panama City Beach, FL, Ruby (Jeff) Clark of Quincy, IL, and Patty Flack of East Alton, IL. Rose sadly had two children pass away prior to her death; son, David Flack in 2007 and daughter, Rosella Long in 2024.
During her lifetime Rose held several different jobs including housekeeping and cooking for a local nursing home, drove a school bus for Hillsboro School District, and the most important role she filled during her long and blessed life was that of wife, mother, grandmother, and homemaker for her large family. She also cherished her beloved Pomeranian puppy, Rosie.
In her leisure Rose enjoyed camping, riding motorcycles, eating out, and cooking for her family. She was a longtime member of the Litchfield Assembly of God and up until her recent health battles she had been attending Southside Church in Litchfield.
Rose is survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Grandchildren include Danny (Heather) Garrett, Jr., Kristi Hayes, David Flack, Deanna (Matthew) Sleboda, Stacey (Jim) Morgan, Richard (Anoop Grewel) Julius, Kelsey Flack, Tyler (Jennifer) Lipe, Travis (Hollie) Lipe, Skyler Clark, and Ashley Clark and sixteen great grandchildren. Rose is also survived by one sister, Connie Blankenship of Panama, IL.
Rose was proceeded in death by her husband, David in 2016, her parents, her son David and daughter Rosella, a grandson Justin Lee Flack in 1987, her sister Charlotte, and her brothers Hiram and Charlie Renfro.
Funeral services for Rose will be held at Plummer Funeral Home in Litchfield on Sunday, February 23rd at 2:00pm. Pastor Randy Sands will officiate. Visitation will be held prior to the service from noon until 2:00pm. Burial will be in Union Grove Cemetery near Greenville.
