Ronda L (Billiter) Kirk

Ronda L. Kirk, 82, of Altus, OK, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, November 2, 2020.   Her final days were spent surrounded by her family.

Ronda was born December 6, 1937 in Honey Bend, Illinois to Byron and Edna (Watkins) Billiter. She started school in Honey Bend and graduated with the Class of 1955 at Litchfield High School, Litchfield, Illinois.  After graduation, Ronda worked in Springfield, IL at an insurance company.   

Ronda married Roy Kirk in December 1960, in New London, Missouri.  Shortly after getting married, Ronda and Roy moved to Webb Air Force Base in Big Springs, Texas, where Roy was stationed.  As a military wife, Ronda lived in various locations throughout the U.S., including Sacramento, CA, Fairfield, CA, Rantoul, IL and Champaign, IL before she and Roy settled in Altus, OK in 1978. 

Ronda and Roy had two children, Rochelle and Ryan. She provided a loving home for her family and cherished spending time with her children and grandchildren.  She loved playing Wahoo with her family and putting together puzzles with her grandchildren. 

Until her health made it impossible, Ronda was an active member of the Assembly of God church in Altus, OK.  She enjoyed volunteering at the church, helping others in the community and studying her Bible.    Ronda was a living example of Ephesians 4:32 — “And be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving one another, just as God also forgave you in Christ.”

Ronda is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Ron Billiter, and sister, Alma Belovich.

She is survived by her husband Roy; son, Ryan Kirk; daughter, Rochelle Guinn along with her husband Trent; and grandchildren Jackson and Jace Guinn.  She is also survived by one brother, Teri Billiter and wife Tanya.    

        A graveside committal service will be held Tuesday, October 17, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at Cedar Ridge Cemetery in Honey Bend. Rev. Gary Schwab of First Presbyterian Church of Litchfield will officiate.
