Robert Eugene “Fuzzy” Jacobs, Jr., 70, of Litchfield, passed away on Tuesday, March 29, 2022 at 8:48 p.m. in his home. He was born in Litchfield on July 3, 1951, a son of Robert Eugene and Lovine E. (Varner) Jacobs, Sr. Fuzzy graduated from Litchfield High School with the Class of 1969 and attended Eastern Illinois University-Charleston for two years. He and the former Marsha Arlene Johnson were married on October 25, 1981 and they later divorced. Fuzzy and Jody Michelle (Murray) Shreve were married on September 26, 2020. She survives. He was employed with the Illinois Department of Corrections as a correctional officer. Fuzzy was a roadie for a popular local band as they traveled around the United States. He owned and operated Fuzzy’s Bar in Litchfield. He was co-owner of Litchfield Bowl. Fuzzy was a member of Moose Lodge #1634-Litchfield and Am Vets Post #16. Fuzzy was a well-known LHS athlete both in football and basketball. He enjoyed playing volleyball, slow-pitch softball, golf, hunting, fishing and bowling. He also enjoyed playing Texas Hold ’Em, shooting pool and shooting competitive archery for several years. He was the girls golf coach for Hillsboro High School for several years. He enjoyed cooking and spending time with his family and friends.

His daughter, Sara (Gavin) Pau of Gillespie, IL
His step-son, William Shreve of Standard City, IL.
His stepdaughters, Michelle (Jason) Glowacki of Bailey, CO; Alexis Milanos of Claremont, IL; Blaire Crays of Holt, FL; and Bridgette Shreve of Litchfield.
His brother, Mark (Patty) Jacobs of Litchfield.
His sisters, Connie Childers of Hillsboro, IL and Jill (Bill) Wyatt of Litchfield.
His grandchildren, Cade; Zander; Devin; Jillian; Vidalia; Jaylaan; Brendan; Ephraim; Taylor; Emmery; Owen; Kyra; Brawly; Harper; Lily and Layden.
His two great-grandchildren.
Several nieces and nephews.
Fuzzy was preceded in death by his father and a grandson, Zyan Bishop.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
The family asks that memorials be directed to Jody Jacobs to help with expenses.
