Rhonda Lee Heafy, 70, of Litchfield, passed away on Sat., April 24, 2021 at 1:22 a.m., in her home. She was born on April 11, 1951 in Litchfield, a daughter of Allen Wayne and Cora Mae (Slightom) Wolff. She married Paul G. Heafy in June of 1975, they later divorced. Mrs. Heafy graduated from Litchfield High School in 1969 and earned her Bachelor’s degree in Education from Eastern Illinois University. She returned to teach Home Economics at Litchfield High School for a few years. With her husband Paul, Rhonda left Litchfield to great adventures living in New York City and then San Juan Puerto Rico. Together they enjoyed travel to several exotic locations as well. Eventually landing in Oklahoma City, there her daughter, Kelly Suzanne Heafy, was born.
Rhonda loved design and architecture and had a great sense of style. She studied drafting and worked, for a time, designing displays for Ralph Lauren clothing company. She was skilled at interior design and enjoyed collecting vintage pieces of decor and artwork. Rhonda loved to host a get-togethers and was a master of the crab boil. She loved classic rock and a good game of dice. She is survived by:

Rhonda was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Apr. 28, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at the Plummer Funeral Home in Litchfield. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service. Rev. Jon Magnuson of Beacon Church will officiate. Burial will be in Edgewood Cemetery in Litchfield. The family suggests memorials be directed to Heart’s United or Litchfield Rt. 66 Museum.
