Phillip Owens

Phillip Dean Owens, 62, of Litchfield, passed away on Tues., April 6, 2021 at 7:22 a.m. in his home.  He was born on April 20, 1958, in Hillsboro, IL, a son of Charles and Margaret (Siddens) Owens.  Phil graduated from Lincolnwood High School with the Class of 1976.  He worked as a professional chemical applicator at M&M Service Co. since 1989.  Phil enjoyed his job and working in the fields.  He married the former Melissa “Missy” Kae McCarty on May 2, 2009 at their home in Litchfield.  She survives.  Phil enjoyed shooting guns, riding his motorcycle, spending time at Mark Twain Lake, Florida vacations, and going on float trips.  He especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.  In addition to his wife, Missy, he is survived by:

1 son, Kyle Owens (fiancée, Kimberly Smalley) of Raymond

2 daughters, Ashley Page (fiancé, Adam Hassebrock) of Lake Kaho – Mt. Olive

                     Tiffany (Jason) Robinson of Raymond

10 grandchildren, Caydn Page; Avery Hassebrock; Aubrey Hassebrock; Landen Hassebrock; Dominic Robinson; Zoey Robinson; Charlotte Robinson; Rylan Davis; Colton Owens; Coraleigh Owens

1 niece, Abby Owens (fiancé, Kooper Nimmo)

1 nephew, Adam (Kayla) Pennock

Phil was preceded in death by his parents; 1 son, Clayton Owens; 1 brother, Doug Owens.

Funeral services for Phil will be held on Sun., April 11, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Plummer Funeral Home in Litchfield.  Greg Nimmo will officiate.  Burial will be in Asbury Cemetery in Raymond.  Visitation will be held Sat., April 10, 2021 from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.  The family suggests any memorials be designated to Montgomery County Cancer Association.  Due to CDC guidelines, social distancing and masks will be required.
