Patricia Ann (Busby) Geninatti

Patricia Ann “Pat” Geninatti, 74, of Litchfield, passed away Saturday, December 14, 2024, at her residence.  Born in Litchfield, IL, June 6, 1950.  The daughter of Harry M.A. and Marjorie B. (Jones) Busby.  She was a graduate of Litchfield Community High School, Class of 1968.  She married Albert James Buffington on January 25, 1971. Mr. Buffington passed away on July 20, 1984.  She then married Joseph Anthony Geninatti in 1996, and Mr. Geninatti passed away October 18, 2022. 

Mrs. Geninatti was currently employed at the Litchfield Wal-Mart for 36 years and was a front-line cashier. She was a member of Faith Christian Fellowship of Litchfield.  She enjoyed spending time at Lake Lou Yaeger boating and camping, playing Bingo, growing a variety of indoor plants, gardening, hosting family dinners, baking, and shopping.  She loved spending time with her grandchildren. 

Mrs. Geninatti is survived by her son, Albert J. “Jim” Buffington, Jr.  of Litchfield, three grandchildren; Krystin (Cody) Hale, Brooke (fiancé Mathew Hartsook) Buffington, and Bo Buffington.  Three great grandchildren, Connor, Abby and Odin. And, her daughter-in-law, Jodi White Dossett of Irving, IL.  Mrs. Geninatti is preceded in death by her parents and both husbands.

Funeral services for Mrs. Geninatti will be conducted, Saturday, December 21, 2024, at 12:00 Noon, at the Plummer Funeral Home in Litchfield.  Pastor Albert Chaney of Faith Christian Fellowship will officiate and burial will be in the Elm Lawn Cemetery.  Visitation will be held Saturday morning from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.  The family suggests memorials to Coats for Kids or Faith Christian Fellowship.
