Norma L. (Finkey) Hendrickson

Norma Lee Hendrickson, 90, of Litchfield, passed away on Mon., Jan. 10, 2022 at 5:00 a.m. at Hillsboro Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Hillsboro.  She was born on April 6, 1931, in Litchfield, IL, the only child of Kenneth Leroy “Bill” and Thelma (Street) Finkey.  Norma married Robert Paul Hendrickson on June 9, 1949, in Litchfield.  He preceded her in death on Sept. 19, 2017.  Norma and her husband owned and operated Hendrickson Interiors from 1961-1969. Norma was employed for several years at Meier Decorating in downtown Litchfield. She enjoyed swinging on her patio swing, and was an avid supporter of animals and animal shelters.

She is survived by:

2 sons, Robert (Wendy) Hendrickson, Jr. of New London, MO

            Bruce Hendrickson of Litchfield

1 daughter, Rebecca Brown of Litchfield

6 grandchildren, April Hendrickson; Ryan Brown; Angie Brown; Eric (Jessica) Hendrickson,

3 great-grandchildren

In addition to her husband Robert, Norma was preceded in death by her parents.

A graveside committal service will be held Friday, January 21, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at the Elmwood Cemetery in Litchfield. A funeral procession will line up beginning at 10:45 a.m. at the Plummer Funeral Home. There will be no visitation.  The family suggests memorials to PAWS Care of Montgomery County.
