Michael E. Lucykow, 82, of Hillsboro, passed away Monday, July 21, 2025, at his residence. Michael was born in Litchfield on December 27, 1942, a son to Henry & Pearl (Dewitt) Lucykow. He served in the United States Navy, then enjoyed his career as a laborer for Dan Heise Plumbing in Litchfield. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, traveling to Branson, MO, and having his morning coffee with his friends at Jubelt’s in Litchfield.
Mike is survived by:
3 sons, Michael H. Lucykow, Charles E. (Kimberly) Lucykow of Hillsboro, & Scott A. (Jeanene) Lucykow of Staunton
1 sister, Diane Youngblood of Iowa
4 grandchildren, Lauren Lucykow, Paige Lucykow, Kylie Lucykow & Mallory Lucykow
Former spouses, Barbara Ann (Burris) Lucykow & Sarah Kirby
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Dennis Lucykow, and grandchildren, Jason Lucykow & Ashley Lucykow.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, July 25, 2025, at Plummer Funeral Home in Litchfield. Rev. Jon Magnuson of Beacon Church in Litchfield will officiate. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will take place at Elm Lawn Cemetery in Litchfield.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials may be made to Hearts United in Litchfield, Litchfield Veterans Memorial Garden, or Hillsboro Area Veterans Memorial.
