Mary Louise Williams, 91, of Litchfield, passed away on Fri., January 22, 2021 at 7:20 p.m. in HSHS St. John’s Hospital in Springfield. She was born on March 3, 1929, in Litchfield, a daughter of Buell John and Edna Elizabeth (Lydick) Ellis. She married George Shirley “Tom” Williams on September 12, 1948. He preceded her in death on April 21, 2006. Mrs. Williams was employed in the offices of Brown Shoe Co. for several years and later worked in social services for Care Inn Convalescent Center. She was a member of Living Stones Church in Litchfield, the Phi Sigma Nu Sorority and of the writer’s group of the Academy for Life Long Learning. She volunteered at Hearts United for several years. She studied Art and did several paintings for local families including homes and local landscapes. She is survived by:

Mary was preceded in death by her parents; husband “Tom”; son Mark Williams; and brothers John Ellis and Charles Ellis.
A family memorial committal service will be held Sat., Feb. 6, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Cedar Ridge Cemetery in Honey Bend. The family suggests memorials be made to Hearts United in Litchfield.
