Mary Lou Waggoner, 92, of Auburn, formerly of Waggoner, passed away on Wed., Nov. 24, 2021 at 8:25 a.m. at Eastland Retirement Community in Auburn. She was born on Feb. 6, 1929, in Morris, OK, a daughter of Ertle Morsel and Dena Olive (Rains) Edmundson. She married Joe LeRoy Waggoner on June 26, 1949, in Litchfield, IL. He preceded her in death on Sept. 29, 2004. Mary was a member of Waggoner United Methodist Church in Waggoner. She enjoyed flower gardening, doing crafts, and was a member of the Red Hat Ladies. She mostly enjoyed being with her grandchildren and great grandchildren . She is survived by:
1 son, David (Debbie) Waggoner of Waggoner
1 daughter, Karen (Larry) Kraus of Farmersville
1 daughter-in-law, Jeanne Waggoner of Farmersville
7 grandchildren;
DeAnn Waggoner, Diane (Ryan) Boyer, Brandon (Lindsay) Waggoner, Dane (Katie) Waggoner, Paul Kraus, Kayla (Steve) Miller, and Greg Kraus.
7 great-grandchildren; Kyle, Grayson, Evan, Bentley, Jackson, Abigail, Briar, and Emmery.
Mrs. Waggoner is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Joe; son, Dennis Waggoner; 4 brothers, Claude Edmundson; Donald Edmundson; Jim Dale Edmundson; Joe Edmundson; 2 sisters, Kathryn McLaughlin; Dorothy Mills.
Funeral services for Mrs. Waggoner will be held Saturday, November 27, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at the Plummer Funeral Home in Litchfield. Burial will be in the Bethel Ridge Cemetery in Atwater.
Visitation will be held Saturday from 11:00 until the time of service at Plummer’s.
Memorials are suggested to the Waggoner Centennial Building Fund.
