Mary Elizabeth Tinsman, 94, of Litchfield, passed away on Tuesday, July 25, 2023, at 5:30 p.m. at Litchfield Health and Rehab Center. She was born June 8, 1929, in Litchfield, a daughter of William and Mary Elizabeth (Smith) Weir. She graduated from Litchfield Community High School with the Class of 1948. She and Allen A. Tinsman were married June 19, 1948, in Litchfield. He preceded her in death on February 10, 2017. Mrs. Tinsman was employed through the years by the Litchfield Egg Plant and Master Manufacturing. She was a member of Women of the Moose Chapter #581, and enjoyed camping.
Mrs. Tinsman is survived by:
1 daughter, Donna L. Bradburn of Litchfield,
2 grandchildren, J.W. Bradburn of Litchfield, and Jessica (Michael) Vickery of Mt. Olive,
7 great-grandchildren, Alex Bradburn, Addison Bradburn, Mason Bradburn, Lilly Bradburn, Harley Bradburn, Kaia Vickery and Amari Vickery.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Tinsman was preceded in death by her parents, her son-in-law, Jerry Bradburn, 2 brothers, Marvin Weir and Scotty Weir, and 2 sisters, Frances Thompson and Mildred Brown.
A graveside committal service will be held on Friday, July 28, 2023, at 11:00 a.m., at Elm Lawn Cemetery in Litchfield. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral procession line-up begins at 10:45 a.m., at Plummer Funeral Home. Rev. Gary Schwab, pastor of First Presbyterian Church in Litchfield, will officiate. The family suggests memorial donations be made to Coats for Kids.
