Mary Katherine (Mick) Goacher

Mary K. Goacher, 80, of Litchfield, died October 20, 2025, at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield, surrounded by her family. Mrs. Goacher was born February 1, 1945, to Walter Mick and Ella (Jonas) Mick. She married Charles Ellington in March of 1960; they shared 5 children and divorced in 1980. She married Bill Goacher in May 1989; he preceded her in death.

Mary was a housewife and an assembly line worker at Roller Derby until their closure. She enjoyed dancing, country & western music, word search puzzles and spending time with her family.

She is survived by:

Sons, Billy Ellington of Florida, Kenny Ellington of Mt. Olive, Ronnie (Connie) Ellington of Sorento

Daughters, Ruth Law and Angel (partner Joe) Ellington, both of Litchfield

Step-daughters, Sandy (John) Byers, Barbara Herman, Brenda (Bruce) Derryberry, all of The Dalles, OR, and Karen Martell of Prescott, AZ

Grandchildren, Hillary (partner Jason) Blankenship, Anthony (partner Matt) Ellington, Chelsey (partner RJ) Boerckel

3 great-grandchildren and several step-grandchildren

Sister, Wanda Boerckel of Litchfield

She was preceded in death by her brothers, Kenneth Mick and Walter Leroy Mick, 2 sisters, Ruth Young and Martha Funderburk

A celebration of life will be held Saturday, November 1, 2025, at 3:00 p.m., at Plummer Funeral Home in Litchfield. Rev. Steven Benthal will officiate. Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service. Memorials may be directed to the family, c/o Angel Ellington.
