Martin “Marty” Louis Wolff, 58, of Litchfield, passed away Saturday, December 21, 2024, at his residence. Marty was born December 12, 1966, in Springfield, IL, a son of Marion “Peanie” Louis and Barbara Anita (Hook) Wolff. He graduated from Litchfield High School with the Class of 1985 and attended Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, MI. Marty and the former Alicia Beatrice Bess were married May 17, 2016, in Hillsboro, IL. She survives. He was employed by the family business, Wolff Oil Co., for several years and was currently employed as a carpenter and welder. Marty had many hobbies including woodworking, working on his cars and trucks, snow mobiling, and boating. He greatly enjoyed dirt bike riding and hill climbing at Cahokia Creek Dirt Riders Club Grounds in White City. Marty was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Litchfield.

A stepdaughter, Kiera Bess of Butler
A brother, Kent (Laura) Wolff of Litchfield
A sister, Karla (Will) James of Seminole, OK
A grandson, Bentley
6 nephews, Steven (Amy) Wolff, Christopher (Brittany) Wolff, Jason (Kim) Blankenship, Travis Bishop, Jake (Kelly) James, and Nate (Renee) James
Marty was preceded in death by his parents, Marion and Anita Wolff; a son, Spencer N. Wolff; a step-son, Kayden Bess; and a grandson, Tyson Louis Wolff.
Funeral services for Marty will be held at 12 noon Saturday, January 11, 2025, at First Presbyterian Church of Litchfield. Pastor Jon Magnuson of Beacon Church in Litchfield will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Ridge Cemetery in Honey Bend. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the church. The family respectfully requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be directed to Plummer Funeral Home to help with funeral expenses.
