Martin Anton “Bubba” Kutz, Sr., 87, of Litchfield, passed away Thurs., May 24, 2018 at 3:45 p.m. in Tremont Ridge Assisted Living in Hillsboro. Mr. Kutz was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps. He served during the Korean War and was a double Purple Heart recipient. He was born on Nov. 11, 1930 in Shreveport, LA, the son of Martin Phillip & Laura Lee (Lestage) Kutz. He married Betty Jo Cowan on Jan. 8, 1954 in Monroe, LA. She preceded him in death on Nov. 17, 2004. Martin worked for South Central Bell as a lineman-phone technician for several years. He was a member of Living Stones in Litchfield where he had always been very active in church functions. He was an avid hunter and outdoorsman. He also enjoyed fishing and woodworking as well. He was always willing to lend a hand and often volunteered to drive veterans to their appointments. During his earlier years, he was a Boy Scout Leader. He is survived by:

1 sister, LaTrelle (Dr. Al) Nicosia of Denton, TX
5 grandchildren, Joseph Kutz (Ashley Walker); Joshua Kutz;
Whitney (Erik) Thornton; Laura Wright & Justin Wright
1 great-grandson, Asher Kutz
He was preceded in death by his parents & wife.
Funeral services will be held Sun., May 27, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. in Plummer Funeral Home in Litchfield.
Rev. Dr. Harold “Diz” Reents, of Living Stones in Litchfield, will officiate.
Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery in Litchfield.
Visitation will be held Sunday from 1:00 p.m. until service time.
