Mark W. Wolff, 69, of Litchfield, passed away Thursday, August 3, 2023 at 11:39 p.m., at home. Mr. Wolff was born May 17, 1954, in Litchfield, the son of Allen Wayne & Cora Mae (Slightom) Wolff. He graduated from Litchfield Community High School with the Class of 1972 and studied at Illinois Valley Community College in Peru, IL. He married the former Rhonda Gale Johnson on May 14, 1977, at Zion Lutheran Church in Litchfield; she survives. Mr. Wolff was employed as a welder for Phillips Pipeline. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, the Litchfield Moose, and the Litchfield Country Club where he was an avid golfer. He celebrated having scored a hole-in-one on the golf course in Taylorville. He also enjoyed woodworking and was a St. Louis Cardinals fan.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Wolff is survived by:
2 sons, Brian (Dan) Wolff, of Chicago; Daniel (Paige) Wolff, of Denver, CO,
1 daughter, Jamie (companion Ryan Cheslak) Wolff of Beaufort, South Carolina,
3 sisters, Linda (Jim) Coontz of Palm Beach Garden, FL; Bonnie (Andy) Furman, of Litchfield; and Della (Bob) Witter, of Litchfield.
Mr. Wolff was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Rhonda Heafy.
Funeral services for Mr. Wolff will be Tuesday, August 8, 2023, at 1:00 p.m., at Plummer Funeral Home in Litchfield, with Rev. Fred Kraemer officiating. Visitation will be from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Plummer Funeral Home on Monday, August 7, 2023. Interment will take place at Elmwood Cemetery in Litchfield. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation or Coats for Kids.
