Mark Elmo Parish

Mark Elmo Parish, 66 of Litchfield, passed away on Thursday, August 31, 2023, at HSHS St. Joseph’s Hospital in Highland. He was born January 28, 1957, in St. Louis, MO, a son of James Junior and Hazel Harrison Parrish. Mark graduated from Litchfield High School with the Class of 1975. Throughout his life, he was employed as a general laborer by several different companies. Mark attended First Apostolic Church in Greenville, IL, was an avid Chicago Cubs fan and enjoyed watching wrestling.

Mark is survived by:

2 brothers, Wesley (Brigitte) Parrish of Germany, and Bobby (Corinna) Parrish of Litchfield

2 sisters, Peggy (Danny) Weinberg of Kilgore, TX and Fanny (Jon) Chasteen of Pocahontas, IL

Numerous nieces and nephews

In addition to his parents, Mark was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Jesse Parish and Daniel Parrish, and a sister, Rose Werner.

Funeral services for Mark will be held at Plummer Funeral Home at 11 a.m. on Monday, September 11, 2023. Rev. George Bankston will officiate.  Visitation will be at the funeral home Sunday, September 10, 2023 from 3:00 until 5:00 p.m.
