Marilyn Anne Barnes, 84 of Litchfield, passed away, Tuesday, May 23, 2023.

Marilyn was born October 26, 1938 in Zanesville Township, a daughter of Harold (Pete) and Mildred (Engelman) Daggett.  She married Donald L. Barnes on February 17, 1957.  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and brother, Jerry Lee Daggett.

Marilyn attended grade school in Raymond, Moweaqua and at Hazel Green. She graduated from Carlinville High School, Class of ‘56.  She enjoyed her classmates and loved their reunions and other get togethers.

Marilyn went on to become Director of Nursing for nursing homes in Virden and Walsenburg CO.

Marilyn was very proud of her family and loved spending time with them.  She also enjoyed gardening, cooking and traveling.  After retirement, she and her husband sold their home and became full time RV’ers.  They traveled the USA, truly enjoying all it had to offer.  They were also camp hosts at Beaver Dam State Park which Marilyn greatly enjoyed.
