Loretta “Bitty” Olive Farley, 92, of Litchfield, passed away at HSHS St. Francis Hospital in Litchfield on Tues., Feb. 15, 2022. She was born on Jan. 20, 1930 on the family farm near Auburn, IL, a daughter of Oscar Franklin and Maria Catherina (Eigenmann) Stark. She graduated from Auburn High School and later attended Lincoln Land Community College. Mrs. Farley was employed for many years in the office of the Bureau of Finance, State of Illinois. Mrs. Farley was a servant to others, providing care to her mother, good friend Wally Sokol and niece Nancy Leonard during their respective illnesses. She enjoyed gardening. Mrs. Farley attended Zion Lutheran Church in Litchfield. She married Willis Edwin Farley, Jr. on November 29, 1949 and he preceded her in death on November 28, 2011. Mrs. Farley is survived by:

In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Farley was preceded in death by her brothers, Frank Stark; William Stark and Carroll Stark (in infancy); her sisters, Myrtle Stark Eder; Rosalee Stark Soloman; Lorena Stark Surgis; Alma Stark; Emily Stark; and Lois Stark Leonard.
Graveside committal service for Mrs. Farley will be held on Mon., Feb. 21, 2022 beginning at 11:00 a.m. at Memorial Cemetery in Chatham, IL. Rev. Fred Kraemer, pastor of Zion Lutheran Church in Litchfield will officiate.
