Leona Mae Hollrah, 97, of Hillsboro, passed away the afternoon of Wednesday, November 26, 2025, at Montgomery Nursing and Rehab in Hillsboro. She was born in Maplewood, MO on July 18, 1928, the daughter of Arthur J. and Katie L. (Sellers) Hollrah. Miss Hollrah was a graduate of the Maplewood/Richmond Heights, MO, High School, and obtained her degree in Business Administration from Lindenwood University in St. Louis, MO. She was an executive secretary for McDonnell Douglas (later Boeing) Aeronautical in St. Louis. Miss Hollrah moved to Hillsboro, IL, after retirement. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Litchfield, and enjoyed cooking, flower gardening, and shopping with QVC.
Miss Hollrah is survived by:
A brother, Mitchell G. Hollrah of Hillsboro
Nieces and nephews, Kathleen F. (Randy) Guyer and Arthur John (Rose) Hollrah, III
Great-nieces and nephews, Jessica (Robert) Ewing, Carol Laux, and Jason (Melissa) Hollrah
She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Katie Hollrah, and a brother, Arthur J. Hollrah, Jr.
Funeral services for Miss Hollrah will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 6, 2025, at Plummer Funeral Home in Litchfield. Rev. Fred Kraemer of Zion Lutheran Church will officiate. Burial will be in Elm Lawn Cemetery in Litchfield. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Memorials may be directed to Zion Lutheran Church, 1301 N.
