Larry Michael Ondrey

Larry Michael “Mike” Ondrey, 61, of Litchfield, passed away Saturday, November 16, 2024, at his residence. Mike was born in Litchfield on October 8, 1963, a son of Larry Robert and Helen Marie (Reents) Ondrey. He graduated from Litchfield High School with the Class of 1981. Mike was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Litchfield. He worked as security detail at Wood River Refinery and the Litchfield Landfill and was previously employed at NBS in Mt. Olive and Walmart in Litchfield. He also provided lawn care and auto detailing services. Mike enjoyed weightlifting in his younger years, enjoyed playing guitars, washing, waxing and detailing cars, storytelling, and especially cherished traveling with family.

His brother, Robert (fiancee Melissa Vandeventer) Ondrey of Springfield, IL

His sisters, Leann Cameron of Hillsboro, IL, Laura (Mark) Rebben of Rockton, IL, and Molly Ann Ondrey of Litchfield

His nieces and nephews, Justin (Jessica) Cameron, Jeffrey Franzen, Daniel Rebban and Sarah Rebban

His great niece and nephew, Elliana and Emmett Cameron

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, November 21, 2024, at Holy Family Catholic Church in Litchfield. Fr. Dan Willenborg will preside. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery in Litchfield. Visitation will be at the church from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. Memorials may be made to St. Agnes Catholic Church Building Fund for the new gymnasium.
