Larry M. Jett, 79, of Litchfield, passed away Wednesday, July 2, 2025, at home. Larry was born July 14, 1945, in Litchfield, a son of Earl M. and Marian R. (Kennedy) Jett. Larry and the former Claudette L. Jeffers were married September 2, 1961; she preceded him in death in 2021. Larry was employed as a coal miner at Monterey Coal Co. in Carlinville; he retired in 2001. He was a member of Southside Church in Litchfield, and the United Mine Workers of America. He loved to weld, do woodworking and building projects, and tinker with his tractors and equipment.

3 brothers, Dale (Martha) Jett of Litchfield, Rocky (Pam) Jett of Hugo, OK, & Brad (Jan) Jett of Hillsboro
2 sisters, Karin (Jim) Woodall of Litchfield and Shari (Mark Counts) Birkenkamp of Litchfield
Grandchildren, Jennifer (Brad) Rauzi & Randy (Fiance Ashley Meeker) Rolland
9 great-grandchildren, Darlene (Colby) Langen of Norfolk, VA, Alyssa (Andrew) Rauzi of Virden, Braden Rauzi of Gillespie, Bella Rolland, Jaxyn Rolland, Liam Rolland, all of Litchfield, Carmen (Tyler) Rolland, Anthony (Raylee) Rolland, both of TN, & Austin Rolland of Litchfield
1 great-great-grandchild, Braylon Rauzi of Virden.
In addition to his wife Claudette, he was preceded in death by a sister, Brenda Rogers and a grandchild, Anthony Rolland.
Graveside services will be held Saturday, July 12, 2025, at 10:00 a.m., at King Cemetery in rural Irving.
