Larry Eugene Bauerle, 77, of Litchfield, passed away unexpectedly the evening of June 11, 2026. He was born in Pana, IL, the only son of Eugene Merle and Evelyn Carolyne (Pearson) Bauerle. He graduated from Hillsboro High School with the class of 1966 and went on to proudly serve in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. In civilian life, Larry was a hard-working man, currently employed at Rural King. He was previously employed at Roller Derby Skate Corp., Milnot Co.–Chili Man Chili, Gateway Golf Cart Equipment, Turtle Creek-Litchfield Health Care, and Schutt Sports Group. His hobbies included woodworking, doing yardwork, repairing cars and motorcycles, and collecting Harley-Davidson memorabilia. He was a member of the Christian Church of Litchfield. Larry and the former Gaye (Wall) Bunge were married June 2, 1990, at Walshville Christian Church and they enjoyed 36 years of marriage.

Eight grandchildren, Elizabeth Bauerle, Zachary Belt, Ryan Komor (fiancée Katelynn Dugan), Mikey Taylor, Alex Komor, Joshua Belt, Keyson Hokenson, and Trace Komor
Three great-grandchildren, Malachi Komor, Rylynn Komor, and Nolan Komor
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon on Saturday, June 20, 2026, at the Christian Church of Litchfield, located at 131 Yaeger Lake Trail. Rev. Tim Barbee will officiate. Burial will follow in Crabtree Cemetery in South Litchfield Township. Visitation will be held at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
