Judith “Judy” Ann Bowermaster, 80, of Carlinville, formerly of Litchfield, passed away on Thur., May 27, 2021 at 7:55 p.m. at HSHS St. John’s Hospital. She was born on December 21, 1940, in Litchfield, IL, a daughter of Thomas Edward and Ethel Loeva (Cress) Bundy-Melchert. Judy worked as a Union Steward at The Roller Derby Corporation for several years. She later worked as an Instore Merchandiser for Archway Manufacturing Co and MCA. Judy married Harold Eugene Bowermaster in Jerseyville. He preceded her in death. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Judy was the Family History Director at the church library, the Activity Director and a Visiting Teacher. She enjoyed crocheting and genealogy, dining out and shopping with friends. Judy also coached a softball team for 15 years.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents; 1 son, Wayne Bowermaster; and 1 daughter, Deborah Gerdes.
Funeral services for Judy will be held on Wed., June 2, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Litchfield. Bishop Lonnie Bruce will officiate. Burial will be in Elm Lawn Cemetery in Litchfield. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. Due to CDC guidelines, social distancing and masks will be required. The family requests memorials be made to Moose Heart or the Missionary Fund at the Church of Jesus Christ and Latter-Day Saints.
