Obituary

Juanita Wooten, 80, of Litchfield, formerly of Raymond, passed away Monday, July 11, 2022, at 8:10 a.m. at her home in Litchfield.  She was born on March 14, 1942, in Jackson, KY, a daughter of Andrew Miller and the former Dora Harvey.  She married Ruie Wooten on August 5, 1960, in Chicago; he survives.  Mrs. Wooten worked as a picker for Sierra International in Litchfield, and was at member of New Hope Baptist Church in Litchfield.  She enjoyed making Blessing Boxes for missions, bowling, watching the Cubs, and loved spending time with her family and grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by:

3 daughters, Sandra (James) Self of Worden, Linda (Jeff) Eddings of Raymond, and Angela (Selone) Williams of Edwardsville,

3 brothers, Herman (Eula) Harvey of Ned, KY, Frankie Miller of Mesa, AZ, and Ernie Miller of San Pierre, IN,

12 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.

Mrs. Wooten was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Johnny Miller, and 3 sisters, Roberta Schmechel, Kathleen Coomer and Ellie Flilip.

A celebration of life for Juanita Wooten will be held Friday, July 15, 2022, at Plummer Funeral Home in Litchfield at 11:00 a.m.  Visitation will be Thursday, July 14, 2022, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m.  The family suggests memorials be made to New Hope Baptist Church.
