Joy Lynn (Flitz) Streitmatter

Joy Lynn Streitmatter, 74, of Alhambra, formerly of Litchfield, passed away on Monday, February 9, 2026, at 11:22 p.m. at Hitz Memorial Home in Alhambra, IL. She was born on October 3, 1951, in Litchfield, a daughter of Harold and Roberta (McCluskey) Flitz. Joy graduated from Litchfield High School with the class of 1969.

She married Jonathon Lewis Streitmatter on April 29, 1988, in Forsyth, MO. He preceded her in death on November 25, 2004. Throughout her life, Joy was a secretary and bookkeeper for several places in Litchfield. She worked at Zion Lutheran Church, Hough Office Supply, Schmidt Motor Sales, Wolff Oil, Victory Lane Ford, Crispen Properties, and Carpoint. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Litchfield. In her personal time, she was known for her creative hobbies, specifically cooking, cross-stitching, and various crafts.

Sisters, Gale Bolar, Linda Roach, Nanette (Dale) Criss, Diana (Kenny) Odle, and Nita Jergeson

In addition to her husband, Joy was preceded in death by her parents.
