John Allen Kruse, Jr.

John “Johnny” Allen Kruse, Jr.  41, of Litchfield, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, February 5, 2022, at 6:59 a.m. at his home.

Johnny was born August 4, 1980, in Litchfield, Illinois, the only son of John Allen Kruse Sr. and Ellen “Cookie” Kay DeWitt.  Johnny was a Veteran of the U.S. Army Airborne Division, an avid skydiver, dedicated husband and father, and a genuine friend.  Johnny married Jessica “Jes” Nicole Randall on June 3, 2017, at Beacon Church in Litchfield, Illinois and she survives.

Johnny worked at Pittsburg Pipe Company in Litchfield as a welder, plasma table operator and steel fabricator.    

Johnny enjoyed riding dirt bikes with his kids, sky diving, hanging out at his dad’s shop and doing what he could to help others.  Johnny lived for “Date Nights” with his wife, spending time with his children and ensuring his family was his number one focus.  

In addition to his wife Jes, he is survived by his parents, John (Valerie) Kruse and Ellen “Cookie” (Eric) Broida all of Litchfield.  Mr. Kruse is also survived by five sons:  Kaiden Law, Axle Randall-Kruse, Sawyer Kruse, Henrik Kruse and Kannon Kruse; one daughter:  Lahna Kruse; his mother and father in law:  Alan and Dana Randall of Hillsboro; two brothers:  Michael Kruse and Ryan Kruse of Litchfield; two sisters:  Emily Broida of St. Petersburg, FL and Ashley Kruse of Litchfield and several nieces and nephews and cousins.

 Johnny is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Earl and Mary DeWitt and his paternal grandparents, James “Rusty” and Rosemary “Rose” Kruse.

Funeral services for Mr. Kruse will be held Saturday, February 12, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Plummer Funeral Home in Litchfield.  Rev. John Magnuson of Beacon Church will preside.  Cremation Rites will follow services. Visitation will be from 3:00 – 7:00 p.m. Friday February 11, 2022 at Plummer Funeral Home in Litchfield.
