John H Guest

John H. Guest, 76, of Litchfield, passed away Wednesday, February 22, 2023, at 5:23 p.m. at Hillsboro Rehabilitation & Health in Hillsboro.

He was born in Abilene, TX, on August 31, 1946, the son of Lloyd and Emma L. (Kilbourn) Guest. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War, stationed in Germany as a cook.

Mr. Guest married the former Linda Lea Sevier; they were divorced.  He married the former Mary Lou Randle in 1972; they divorced in 1990. Mr. Guest worked for Worksaver, Wal-Mart and did lawn work. He was a member of VFW Post 3912, enjoyed working on cars, hunting, fishing and visiting friends. 

Mr. Guest is survived by

3 sons, Michael (Erica) Guest, Mark Guest and Marty Guest, all of Litchfield,

3 daughters, Michelle Guest and Terri Hill, both of CA, and Savannah (Mark) Holthaus of Oconee,

4 bonus children, Joshua Mehlberg, Danny Emerson and Nathan Emerson, all of Pana, and Brian Emerson of AZ,

20 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 3 siblings, Joe Guest, Ann Mobley and Marshall Guest, and 4 great-grandchildren, Garrett Barnes, Nicholas McMaster, and Keith and Eliana Emerson.

Funeral services will be held Monday, February 27, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at Plummer Funeral Home.  Rev. Jon Magnuson will officiate.  Visitation will be held Sunday, February 26, 2023, from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. at Plummer Funeral Home. Interment will be at Elmwood Cemetery in Litchfield. The family suggests memorials be made to Hearts United in Litchfield.
