Jerry Lee Niehaus, 63, of Litchfield, passed away Monday, February 12, 2024 at his residence. He was born April 18, 1960, a son of Marvin William and Nancy Lea (Odem) Niehaus. Jerry and the former Tammy Renee Benton were married April 11, 1980 in Hillsboro. She survives. He was a construction laborer with Laborers Locals #42 and #110 in St. Louis, MO. He was a lifetime member of the Litchfield Moose Lodge 1634, AmVets, and ABATE-Shoal Creek Chapter. He enjoyed playing poker, pool league, riding his motorcycle, fishing, and golf. His mother, Nancy (Tom Burrow) Niehaus of Mt. Olive; 2 daughters, Sheila Hartnett of Wood River, IL and Sara Niehaus of Litchfield; 2 brothers, Charles “Tody” (Tam) Niehaus and Jim Rowland, both of Litchfield; a sister, Lori Rowland of Hillsboro; 5 grandchildren, Matthew (Lauren) Hartnett, Jr., Marcus Hartnett, Austin Niehaus, Mason Hartnett, and Onna Hartnett; and 1 great-grandson, Levi Hartnett.
Jerry was preceded in death by his father, Marvin Niehaus; his step-father, Neil Rowland; his brother, Timothy S. Rowland; and a grandson, Christopher Meyer, Jr.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date for Jerry. Memorials are suggested to the family of Jerry L. Niehaus.
