James Drew Hayes

James Drew “JD” Hayes, 54 of Largo, FL, formerly of Glen Ellyn, IL, passed away Thursday, December 20th at 9:35am at his home. He was born June 29th, 1964, in Waukegan, IL, son of James Clinton and Sharon Lynne (Whitson) Hayes. He was a graduate of Glenbard West High School, Glen Ellyn, IL, class of 1982. James worked at a restaurant in Largo FL near Tampa, as host and server.  While living in California, JD worked in HVAC and landscaping. He loved playing golf, going to the beach and walking his dog.  James spent the last 7 years with his best friend and life companion, Tina (Logsdon) Hart.

He is survived by:

2 Daughters,                          Jessica Hayes (fiancé Zak Ryan) of Glen Ellyn, IL

                                               Maddison Hayes of Glen Ellyn, IL

Mother,                                   Sharon (Whitson) Hayes of Mahomet, IL

Sister,                                     Lisa (Hayes) Brumm and husband Kevin of Litchfield, IL

Brother,                                   Joshua Hayes of Long Grove, IL

Nephews and Niece,                Jeremy (Lara) Brumm, Katy (Christopher) Pederson,                                                      

                                                 Cullen (Ann) Brumm

He was preceded in death by his father James C. Hayes.

A memorial service is planned for Sunday, December 30th at 1:00pm at Union Avenue Church, 422 East Union Ave. Litchfield, IL with a meal to follow for family and friends. Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society
