Hunter Jacob Niehaus, 18, of Litchfield, passed away Sunday, December 4, 2022, at 8:56 a.m., at home. He was born on September 10, 2004, in Springfield, IL, a son of Richard W. Niehaus and Michele S. Wolff. Hunter was a student at Litchfield High School who loved listening to music, rocking in his chair and bouncing around on his peanut ball.
Hunter is survived by:
His parents, Richard Niehaus and Michele “Shelley” Wolff, both of Litchfield,
2 brothers, Steven (Amy) Wolff of Los Angeles, CA and Chris (fiancée Brittany Ferguson) Wolff of Tomball, TX,
one sister, Chelsea (fiancé Blake Shannon) Lapolice,
and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Hunter was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Lynis and Erma (Watts) Niehaus and his maternal grandparents, Dan and Sue (Fick) Smith.
Visitation will be Saturday, December 10, 2022, from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Plummer Funeral Home in Litchfield. The family suggests memorials be made to Montgomery County Cancer Association or the Illinois Center for Autism.
