Holly Angel Alender-Mix, 42, of Litchfield, passed away on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, at 7:25 p.m. in her home. She was born on December 25, 1983, in Litchfield, a daughter of Michael Raymond and Debra Ann (Miller) Alender. She earned a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of North Alabama and a Master’s Degree from Kaplan University. Holly dedicated her career to social services, serving the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) in multiple roles, including Supervisor of Investigations, social services probation officer, and substance abuse counselor. Holly married Colt DeWitt Mix on November 3, 2018, at Beacon Church in Litchfield. She was an active member of Beacon Church and had a passion for reading, singing, and traveling, especially her trip to Belize.

Holly was preceded in death by her sister, Charlene Alender.
Funeral services for Holly will be held on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. at Beacon Church in Litchfield. Pastor Jon Magnuson will officiate. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 3:00 p.m. until time of service at Beacon Church. Cremation will follow the services. Memorials may be directed to the family of Holly Alender-Mix c/o Colt Mix.
