Gloria June Everett

Gloria June Everett, 78, of Harvel, passed away at her residence on Tuesday, May 9, 2023. Mrs. Everett was born in Morrisonville, IL, May 26, 1944, a daughter of Harvey Harry and Ethel Sophie (Monke) Schmidt. She graduated from Raymond High School with the Class of 1962. She and Larry Gene Everett were married on August 31, 1963, at Zion Lutheran Church in Litchfield. He preceded her in death on March 29, 2023. Mrs. Everett was employed for several years as a policy services rep with Horace Mann Insurance in Springfield. She was a talented crocheter, and enjoyed going to yard sales and playing Phase 10 card games. She especially enjoyed going to car shows with her husband, Larry, where he won over 100 trophies with their show vehicles. Mrs. Everett loved her dogs and cats.

1 sister, Ruth Ann Mize of Bunker Hill, IL

1 sister-in-law, Sheila Reed of Iuka, IL

Several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, Larry, Mrs. Everett was preceded in death by her parents, and her brother, Robert Lee Schmidt.

Funeral services for Mrs. Everett will be held at Plummer Funeral Home in Litchfield on Friday, May 12, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. Rev. Joseph Nehring of Trinity Lutheran Church in Harvel, IL, will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Ridge Cemetery in Honey Bend. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service. Memorials may be made to the Raymond-Harvel Ambulance Service.
