Gloria Ellen (Gillett) Cayce

Gloria Ellen Cayce, 75, of Mattoon, formerly of Litchfield, passed away at her residence Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2022, at 4:35 p.m.  Mrs. Cayce was born May 29, 1947, in Bloomington, IL, a daughter of Robert F. and Doris (Whitesell) Gillett. She graduated from Washington High School with the Class of 1965. Mrs. Cayce attended cosmetology school. She married Lawrence Byron Cayce on April 21, 1968, in Bloomington, IL. He preceded her in death on March 19, 2008. Mrs. Cayce enjoyed reading, traveling, and playing games with her grandchildren. She enjoyed the companionship of her faithful Golden Retriever service dog, Daisy.

Mrs. Cayce is survived by:

2 sons: Nickolas Cayce of Orlando, FL, and Christopher (Shawna) Cayce of Gillespie, IL.

1 daughter: Angelanne Cayce of Mattoon, IL.

1 brother: Patrick Gillett of Washington, IL.

3 grandchildren: Ashley Clark; Logan (Ally Clay) Cayce; and Cole Cayce.

Mrs. Cayce was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
