Fred Aubrey Roach, 94, of Raymond, IL, passed away Tues., June 12, 2018 at 2:10 p.m. in his home. He was born on Jan. 18, 1924 in Litchfield, IL, a son of Alvie & Rose (Emmos) Roach. Mr. Roach was a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corps where he had served as a medic during the Pacific Theatre. He was a member of A Community of Faith in Raymond, Morrisonville Lodge #681 A.F. & A.M., Everett C. Burton American Legion Post #701 in Waggoner & 40 & 8. He was a farmer and also worked for Panhandle Community Unit District #2 in Raymond as a custodian and bus driver. Over the years, Fred also worked at Fitzgerald’s Equipment Company in Girard as a millwright, Roller Derby Skate Corp. in Litchfield, at the locker plant in Enos, IL as well as mowing lawns for several homes in Raymond. He married Dorothy Louise Welge on April 6, 1946 in Girard, IL. She survives. He is also survived by:

Victor & Charles Roach; 5 sisters, Rosemary, in infancy, Helen Wright, Adele Gray, Mildred Oller & Ellen Singer.
Funeral services will be held Fri., June 15, 2018 at 12 p.m. in Plummer Funeral Home in Litchfield. Rev. Matthew Woodcock, pastor of A Community of Faith in Raymond, will officiate. Burial will be in Asbury Cemetery in rural Raymond. Visitation will be held Friday from 10 a.m. until time of service. The family suggests memorials to Raymond – Harvel Ambulance Service or Waggoner American Legion Post #701. Masonic services will be exemplified at 12 p.m.
