Eva LeEtta (Bell) Winters

Eva Le Etta Winters, 80, of Litchfield, passed away on Wed., March 2, 2022 at HSHS St. Francis Hospital in Litchfield. Mrs. Winters was born on June 9, 1941 in Vancouver, B.C. Canada, a daughter of Archibald and Verna (Ferris) Bell. Mrs. Winters graduated from Freeburg High School in 1959 and later graduated from Barnes Hospital School of Nursing. She was an RN at HSHS St. Francis Hospital for approximately 20 years. She married James B. Winters on June 2, 1984 in Freeburg, IL. He survives. Mrs. Winters was an active member of First Baptist Church in Litchfield where she participated in many activities. She was also a member of the Eastern Star. Mrs. Winters enjoyed traveling, especially to see family, and listening to old gospel music.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Winters is survived by:

1 step-son, James T. (Melanie) Winters of Springfield.

2 step-daughters, Caroline Darlene (Fred) Hester and Elizabeth Elaine (Allan) Templeton, all of Gadsen, AL.

5 grandchildren, Crystal Winters; Nicole Winters; Rosanna Davis; Josh Hester; and Isaiah Strickland.

Several great-grandchildren.; numerous great-nieces and great-nephews.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Winters was preceded in death by a brother, Gordon Bell; a sister, Jaqueline Betian; a step-son, Ricky Wayne Winters; her mother-in-law Violet Winters; brother-in-law Frank Troxell; sister-in-law Marveline Froman.

Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Winters will be held on Sat., March 5, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at Elm Lawn Cemetery in Litchfield. Rev. Jason Plumer of First Baptist Church of Litchfield will officiate. A funeral procession will line up at 12:45 p.m. Saturday afternoon to proceed to the cemetery.
