Ellis Billiter

Ellis Edward Billiter, Jr., 81, of Litchfield, passed away Sunday, August 20, 2023, at 9:29 p.m., at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in O’Fallon.  Mr. Billiter was born May 29, 1942, in Litchfield, a son of Ellis E., Sr. and Dorothy E. (Wilson) Billiter. He graduated from Litchfield High School and went on to serve his county in the United States National Guard. 

Mr. Billiter was a member of the First Baptist Church of Litchfield; he enjoyed reading, walking and watching sports, especially basketball.

He is survived by:

2 bothers, Harry (Marge) Billiter of Florissant, MO, and Richard Billiter of Mt. Olive

1 sister, Carol Shoultz of Litchfield.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services for Mr. Billiter will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Thursday, August 24, 2023, at Plummer Funeral Home.  Rev. Gary Schwab, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church in Litchfield will officiate.  Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service on Thursday.  Burial will be in Elm Lawn Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the family.
