Edna Fern Redfern, 100, of Litchfield, formerly of Raymond, passed away on Sun., Oct. 10, 2021 at 4:45 p.m. at Hillsboro Area Hospital. She was born on Feb. 1, 1921, in Deepwater, MO, a daughter of John and Retia (Davis) Landes. Edna graduated from Scottville High School. She married Myron Nathan “Barney” Redfern on March 17, 1940. He preceded her in death on Feb. 26, 2003. Edna worked at the U.S. Postal Service in Raymond as a Postal Clerk for 20 years. In her early years she was a clerk at P.N. Hirsh Co. in downtown Litchfield. Edna was also a farmwife, often helping Barney farm near Zanesville Twp. She was a member of Pleasant Hill Christian Church in Raymond, Zanesville Women’s Club, Raymond Card Club, and was a 4-H Leader. Edna is survived by:

Edna was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Barney; daughter, Sandra Sue (Redfern) Cagle; her twin brother, John Landes, Jr.; sister, Verna June Adams; 1 niece, Nancy Adams.
Private graveside services will be held on Wed., Oct. 13, 2021 at Cedar Ridge Cemetery in Honey Bend. Rev. David Ziegenbein of Pleasant Hill Christian Church will officiate. In lieu of flowers, family suggests memorials be made to Pleasant Hill Christian Church or Hearts United. Masks are required for those attending the services.
