Edith Rosetta (Crawford) Pruitt

Edith Rosetta Pruitt, 94, of Butler, passed away on Thursday, January 12, 2023, at 4:05 p.m. at Heritage Health of Carlinville. She was born in Litchfield on February 26, 1928, a daughter of Charles and Evelyn (Elliman) Crawford. She graduated from Litchfield High School with the Class of 1946. She and William Howard Pruitt were married on April 6, 1947, near Raymond, Illinois. He preceded her in death on October 16, 1994. A homemaker and farm wife, Mrs. Pruitt loved working in her yard and was an excellent cook. She enjoyed crocheting, family gatherings and collecting salt and pepper shakers. Her daughter, Bonnie Davis of Butler, Illinois

Several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and her husband, Mrs. Pruitt was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Frank Davis; her brothers Ray Crawford, Kenneth Crawford and Charles Crawford; and her sisters Loeta Pruitt and Letha Bergman.

Private family graveside services were held at Elm Lawn Cemetery on Tuesday, January 17, 2023 with Lee Jarman officiating.
